Why all the buzz about Mindfulness?!

Clearly many of us are not coping. We need a different approach.

There has been a huge wave of interest into mindfulness in recent years. This is simply because it works! Research into mindfulness shows it to be highly effective against many symptoms of stress.

Mindfulness can:

So what exactly is this practice called Mindfulness?

Mindfulness can be defined as ‘the non-judgmental awareness of experiences in the present moment’. Mindfulness allows you to create a new happiness habit! Happiness is a choice that we can make every moment, once we know how to stop doing unhappiness.

Unhappiness generally comes from negative thoughts about the past or the future. Women have particular challenges with the amount that most of us have to juggle. And then there are our hormones, right?! However, many women find that stress just dissolves when you learn how to become mindful and live in the now with what is actually happening, rather than with our judgments, projections and fears about what might happen.

As you become more grounded in the present moment, you will firstly develop an acceptance of whatever life is presenting you with. This will allow you to become more peaceful which leads to increased happiness. Finally the experience of presence emerges in which true inner freedom becomes our natural state.

However, we don’t get there just by doing an occasional Mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a way of life. It is a way of observing your thoughts rather than getting caught up in them. It is a way of letting all your emotions flow rather than feeling some and avoiding others. It is a way of being connected with a deeper part of you, even while you are doing daily chores, wrangling toddlers or preparing for a challenging meeting at work.

That is why Be Happy Now focuses not just on techniques, but on putting mindfulness into action in all areas of your everyday life. And we start with practicing in easy steps across a smorgasbord of techniques. You will also receive simple meditations to use in between calls, some of which take just one minute for those busy days. 

Be Happy Now is a live webinar programme designed especially for women and dedicated to your peace of mind across the topics that impact you most. There will be 4 weekly webinars in which you will discover step by step how mindfulness works and also have the opportunity to practice a variety of mindfulness and meditation techniques together, so that you can identify which practices work best for you.
