Voice Dialogue Facilitator Training – Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before completing your booking. By completing a booking with me you will have entered into a binding contract on the basis of these terms and conditions. If you have any questions about them please do not hesitate to contact me.
1. Definitions
a. Life Training Institute refers to Annie Stoker trading as Life Training Limited, 28 Paul Street, London, EC1V 2NX.
b. The “client” refers to the person named on the “Voice Dialogue 2025 booking form”.
c. “Voice Dialogue Training”, “course”, “program”,or “event” refers to the Voice Dialogue Facilitator Training weekends taking place September 2025 to December 2025.
d. “Start date” means the first day of the course (i.e. the 12th September 2025).
e. Fee” means the total cost of the course.
2. Agreement: arises upon the fulfilment of the following:
a. Receipt by The Life Training Institute of a completed booking notification accompanied by a payment of full fees or the first payment of the payment by instalment plan.
b. Clearance of the payment or deposit into The Life Training Institute’s bank account (or other specified account).
c. Acceptance by Life Training Institute via an online booking confirmation or via an email confirmation.
d. The Life Training Institute reserves the right, in its absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons, to refuse to accept a booking. In such circumstances no agreement arises and Life Training Institute will return any payment accompanying the booking.
e. The agreement is between the Life Training Institute and the client and is the sole agreement between those parties. No variation of these terms and conditions shall be applicable unless agreed in writing by the Life Training Institute before the start of the course.
f. The person completing the booking shall be deemed to be agreeing to these terms for him/herself and as agent for all other persons listed on the booking and warrants that he/she is appointed agent for that purpose.
g. The agreement is governed by English law.
3. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £345 is allocated from your first payment. For instalment payments the remaining payments will either be taken monthly from your payment card on the 1st of each month starting the calendar month after your initial payment, or the remaining balance will be due by the dates specified in your email communication with and/or invoice from the Life Training Institute. The Life Training Institute reserves the right to cancel the agreement in the event that the course fees are not paid by the agreed time, pursuant to clause 4, below. Early Bird bookings must be paid for in full by the specified dates, otherwise full payment will be required. Bookings made within 7 weeks of the event start date must be accompanied by payment in full, unless payment by instalments is agreed.
4. Cancellation by client
If the booking is cancelled by the client (for any reason) the following cancellation charge will arise:
a. Cancellation more than 8 weeks before the start date, the deposit of £345 is forfeited.
b. Cancellation 4-8 weeks before the start date, 50% of the fee is payable.
c. Cancellation within 4 weeks of the start date, 100% of the fee is payable.
The client acknowledges that it is reasonable for such penalties to arise given the need for the Life Training Institute to make preparations and investments for the course substantially in advance of the date of the event.
d. If cancellation of attendance at the course is necessary due to the client developing symptoms of and/or testing positive for COVID-19 in the days before the retreat start date or experiencing a medical emergency the client’s place will be held open for deferral to an equivalent course for up to two years from the date of the original course.
5. Cancellation/alteration of course by the Life Training Institute.
There may be occasions when Life Training Limited, through no fault of its own, is forced to cancel a course before it starts but at short notice. In these circumstances the client will be offered the course on a rescheduled date, or the return of monies paid relating to that specific course.
Proceeding with payment implies that these “Terms and Conditions” have been read and accepted. The client(s) accepts and understands that there are hazards involved in this kind of course, including injury, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. The outline itineraries given for each course must therefore be taken as an indication of what activities may be undertaken, and not as a contractual obligation on the part of The Life Training Institute. Changes in itinerary may be caused by local or national restrictions, weather, sickness, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
It is a fundamental condition of joining Voice Dialogue Training that the client(s) accept this flexibility, and acknowledge that delays and alterations and their results, such as inconvenience, discomfort, or disappointment, are possible: The Life Training Institute will always endeavour to provide suitable alternative arrangements.
The client(s) acknowledges that information about courses provided by The Life Training Institute is given in the best of faith but that because of the variability of nature it may be reasonable to alter or modify a course and that in such circumstances it is not reasonable for The Life Training Institute to be liable for any losses consequential on such a change and that The Life Training Institute’s liability is limited accordingly.
Voice Dialogue Training is in part a group event and benefits from the presence of a critical number of persons. If The Life Training Institute, in its absolute discretion and without need to give reasons, determines that a critical number will not be present it reserves the right to cancel the course at short notice. In these circumstances the client will be offered the return of monies paid or the opportunity to join the course in a subsequent year.
The client acknowledges that all the circumstances in which The Life Training Institute may be forced to alter or cancel the course resulted from factors beyond The Life Training Institute’s control. In return for The Life Training Institute’s undertaking to give the maximum amount of notice that circumstances allow, the client accepts that The Life Training Institute is not liable for any losses arising as a result of cancellation or alteration.
6. Deferral
Deferral may be permissible from one year to another with more than 8 weeks’ notice from the event start date. This is offered on a discretionary basis by The Life Training Institute and is subject to a £15 transfer fee per booking.
7. Expectations and physical ability
The client may be expected to be involved in physical activities. No previous experience is required but the client must be of good general health. Any medical conditions must be declared on the booking form which must be completed and returned on confirmation of booking. The Life Training Institute can take no responsibility in the event of any ailment or aggravation of ailment suffered either during or after the programme that arises from an undeclared injury or illness.
8. Code of Conduct:
The client agrees to submit to the reasonable instructions and leadership of The Life Training Institute. The client acknowledges that persons attending Voice Dialogue Training are entitled to expect a high standard of conduct and regard for personal well-being on the part of all participants.
For this reason the client accepts that The Life Training Institute may, in its absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons, arrange for anyone to be removed from a course, if necessary against his/her will. Circumstances in which this might occur include (without limitation) disorderly or abusive conduct; intoxication; incapacity or inability to meet the rigours of the course. In such circumstances the client will not be entitled to a refund of monies and The Life Training Institute will not be liable for any losses so resulting. The client will on demand reimburse The Life Training Institute its reasonable costs of effecting his/her removal.
9. Liability
The client(s) acknowledges that by joining the course in the host country, The Life Training Institute’s responsibility does not commence until the appointed meeting time. The Life Training Institute shall not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the client to meet up with the group if the client(s) does not arrive at the appointed rendezvous.
Voice Dialogue Training takes place in an independently run event centre. The Life Training Institute makes every effort to minimise any risks to clients, and instructs clients in the safe negotiation of such risk as may remain. Consequently, the client(s) acknowledges that there are circumstances in which an accident could befall a client without The Life Training Institute being at fault and accepts that to that extent he/she is taking part in the course at his/her own risk. The Life Training Institute only accepts liability for physical injury to a client(s) that is shown to result from negligence on the part of The Life Training Institute.
The client(s) acknowledges that other loss, damage and expense (including, without limitation, loss of money, loss or damage to clothes and possessions, losses arising on the cancellation of a booking and the expenses of delay and harm caused other than by the negligence of The Life Training Institute) howsoever arising is not the responsibility of The Life Training Institute and that The Life Training Institute’ liability is hereby limited.
10. Complaints
In the unlikely event that a client(s) has cause for complaint about the course, complaint should be made to a representative of The Life Training Institute during the event, in order that corrective action can, if necessary, be taken. The client(s) acknowledges that it is unreasonable to take no action during a course but to complain later. However, should a problem not be resolved, complaint should be made in writing within 28 days. To the extent permitted by law The Life Training Institute will not be liable in respect of claims first intimated later than 28 days from the close of the relevant course.
11. Changes to this agreement
When making a booking to join the course the client(s) confirms that they have read and understood all the terms and conditions above and agrees to abide by them. The Life Training Institute reserves the right to update the Terms & Conditions at any time, without notice.
